UM1 Installation and Setup
Attach your speaker to the UM1 according to our instructions for your speaker.
Visit our Speaker Fitting Matrix to learn which mounting system is recommended for your speaker. Some speakers will be mounted directly to the UM1, while others require adapter plates or brackets.
Optional: Install WM1 Wall Plate
The WM1 Wall Plate is optional in the UM1 system, but makes installation a breeze. Place the WM1 in its desired location and use a pencil to mark the alignment of holes for mounting. Then install using lags or anchors, depending on your wall construction.
Attach any necessary components
If you’re using drop-pipe, install two SM-PM1s. Attach one to the UM1, connect the drop-pipe to it, and then attach the second. Video shows SM-SW1; process is the same for SM-UM1.
