Precision Mounting Guide
The Focal Shape 50 can be mounted with either the SM-SW1 system using an SM-FP Focal Adapter Plate, or direct-mounted to the SM-UM1.

UM1
SM-UM1 Recommended Components
The SM-UM1 is our most affordable speaker mount. Its universal face plate works with many speakers under 25 pounds. With the ability to adjust pan and tilt and lock positioning with geared fittings, the SM-UM1 is perfect for Dolby Atmos rooms where lighter speakers are being used.Â

UM1 Universal Speaker Mount
When possible, it’s best to adjust your speaker to the desired pan and tilt before mounting to the wall. The WM1 makes this process much easier.
Attaching Your Focal Shape 50 to UM1
Your Focal Shape 50 connects directly to the SM-UM1 without the need of additional adapters.
Attaching to the Wall or Ceiling
The WM1 is optional in the UM1 System, however, it’s highly recommended to improve your installation workflow.Â
If using the WM1, press it against the wall at your desired location and mark the mounting holes with a pencil. Then pre-drill into studs or place your anchors. Attach the WM1 to your wall.
If mounting the UM1 directly to the wall, place it in the desired location and mark the mounting holes. Pre-drill into studs or place anchors as with WM1, but mount it to the wall after connecting your speaker to the system.

SM-SW1 Recommended Components
The SM-SW1 is our strongest, most precise speaker mount. With the ability to lock speaker tilt in 15-degree increments and pan on 30-degree increments, the SM-SW1 Speaker Mount is perfect for heavier speakers and critical listening spaces like Dolby Atmos mixing rooms.

WM1 Wall Mount
The SW1 requires a WM1 Wall Mount due to the heavier weights of SM-SW1 compatible speakers. Fortunately it makes installation a breeze. Just press against the wall at your desired location and mark the mounting holes with a pencil. Then pre-drill into studs or place your anchors. Attach the WM1 to your wall.

The FP Focal Adapter connects your speaker to the SM-SW1.
SW1 Universal Speaker Mount
Next adjust the SW1’s tilt and pan to your desired position. Lock into place. Lastly, slide the SW1 into the WM1 and lock tension pins with the included allen key.Â
